Course In a Nutshell

Do you find it difficult to communicate with your employees about their performance? Do they react defensively when given performance feedback? This managing by coaching process is a system for coaching and feedback that works whether you are dealing with a new employee or a seasoned veteran. You will learn skills for giving feedback which will have your employees thanking you for the constructiveness in which it is offered. You will learn how to inspire, motivate, and support your employees while giving them the direction, clarity, meaning and purpose they need and deserve.

  • A seasoned coach or coach trainer will facilitate this process in highly interactive workshops with a presentation, demonstration, and practice format.

  • Real plays and group activities will help you understand and apply the coaching system so that you can effectively put the skills to use, immediately.

  • Assessments and personal development solutions will expand your self-awareness. Some assessments include Personal Style Indicator, Listening Inventory, Values Preference Indicator, and Stress Indicator & Health Planner.

  • You will receive a printed Participant workbook for workshops #1 and #2 as well as a copy of Coaching for Performance: GROWing People, Performance and Purpose by John Whitmore for workshop #2. These tools will help you remember and retain what you learned in the process and apply it on your job.

  • You develop a skill by practice, rehearsal and drill. Therefore, you will receive personal peer and or group coaching and coach training after each workshop.

  • Each participant will develop S.M.A.R.T. personal and/or professional goals.
